One of the interesting objects at the first floor of Mellat Museum (White Palace) is a 130 year old piano which was made by an Austrian – German artist called Beker.
The piano was made in Russia by the order of Nikolai Aleksandrovich Romanov (Nicholas II), the last Tsar of Russia and during his reign was donated to Austria Emperor by him.
The explained piano is decorated with the unique Russian inlaid art and the sign of Romanov’s royal family can be seen on it.
It’s keyboard contains 52 keys that all are covered by ivory. This piano has no pedal as it is one of the features of primary pianos.
Later it became one of the belongings of Iran’s royal family.
