There is a crimson handmade penner in Master MirEmad Museum. This penner was made by an Iranian artist called “Master Mohammad Kazem Ibn Agha Najafi” in 19th century in Qajar and Zand style.
Patterns of birds and flowers are painted on this penner.
There is another penner similar to this one in Metropolitan Museum which was made by an Iranian artist, Master Agha Ali Ashraf.
Master Mohammad Kazem, the great Qajar artist in penner making and painting was from Isfahan and learned this art from his father. He used patterns of birds and flowers, images of Iranian love stories, mystics’ assemblies and etc.
Master Agha Ali Ashraf, born in 19th century was a great artist who was the initiator of special styles and numerous works have remained from him.
