One the armors in Military Museum is a Qajar armor which was made in Iran. This armor has 5/100 kilogram weight and 66 centimeter height.

Armor was one of the war instruments of ancient fighters and had a major role in protection of their lives.

In early armors, metal rings were sewn on a leather cloth or were appended on it.Later, armor transformed into an elegant metal dress. As neck and shoulders were highly at the risk of impact, so the metal rings were more compact in these areas.

Iranian armors had different names due to their size, type of weave and cutting such as: Badan (means body), Nimbadan(means half of body), Bakhtar and Kalantar.
