One of the odd and amazing objects of Omidvar Brothers Museum is a real head of a human.
This head had been miniaturized by Jivaro Tribe, one of the wildest tribes of Amazon, located in Ecuador in South America.
After attacking the other tribes and winning in wars, the people of Jivaro Tribe captured women and remain men of the defeated tribe. They made a great fire in a celebration and started to cut off the heads of defeated men. The fighters of the tribe ripped cutted heads from scalp to the neck, made the head empty and discharged the bones of nose and eyes, sutured the lips for not telling the secrets of the tribe to evil spirits. Then put the head in a particular solution for three days and then full inside the head with hot gravel that made the head suddenly miniaturized and finally heads had been smoked to persist for a longer time.
It is noteworthy that hunted heads were the symbol of power for Jivaro Tribe and they usually suspended them from their tents or hung them from their necks.
