This handwritten Quran was gilded with Shiraz style in Qajar period. The outstanding characteristics of this type of illumination are the excessive use of painted gold and using spiral lines instead of azure coronet. Little colorful flowers with separated branches and leaves not only didn't reduce the brilliance of gold, but also increased the beauty and brightness of the work.

This style of book layout had been used in handwritten books of Qajar period, especially in precious Qurans. This holly Quran which is held in Master MirEmad Museum is one of them.

This holly Quran is 13*20 cm, with crimson cover and patterns of flowers and plants. The text is written with the painted gold and around the lines is decorated.
