A collection of clothing of Pahlavi`s era, include uniforms, military and formal dresses of Reza Shah (the first king of Pahlavi dynasty), Mohammad Reza Pahlavi (the last king of Pahlavi dynasty) and his family are visible in Contemporary History Museum in Saadabad.

In this collection, the formal and ceremonial clothing, the frag suit decorated with braid and ribbon embroidery which were used by ministers, deputy ministers, adjutancy, heads of departments and municipalities, and political representatives of the Iranian consulate in foreign countries are also on exhibit.

These suits are designed and sewn in Lanvyn Meson in France and 1609 meters of gold string was used for each one.

These dresses were used in national holidays such as the birth of the king, official formal meetings, and the most important, in “2500 year celebration of the Persian Empire” in 1971, in which, 50 clothes, each one costs more than 1000 dollars that time, were used.
